SO7240 : Recently Laid Hedge

Recently Laid Hedge
Recently Laid Hedge
The hedge is allowed to grow tall then thinned out to leave a few very vertical branches. These are then cut to allow them all to be laid in the same direction as "pleachers". Wooden stakes are then pushed through in the opposite direction to anchor the pleachers. Edders, flexible stems, are then laced along the top to hold the living fence together.
