St Mary's Church Tower and Doocot, Whitekirk
The tower of the church has two small light openings and a low slated spire. It has been used as a doocot with 39 nests cut out of the stone walls of the tower and 97 in recesses. A stone stair-turret at the NW corner was used to reach the nests. Pigeons were flying around whilst I was there. More information about the church can be found here NT5981 : St Mary's Church, Whitekirk.
