Dewpond on Inkpen Hill
Dewpond on Inkpen Hill
Water is scarce on the downs, so dewponds were built to allow water to collect in hollows. This one is on the crest of Inkpen Hill looking east. It is named on the 1:25K map as Wigmoreash Pond.
