Door to nowhere?
Door to nowhere?
This door gives on to the River Itchen from the back garden of a house on Chesil Street. It doesn't look as though it's been opened in many a long year. In fact the slightly ornate ironwork suggests its main purpose was to provide a view of river rather than offer access. There's a hint of Venice in the scene.
