Grand Union Canal: Welford Arm: Former swing bridge site
At the approach to the only lock on the arm, visible in the distance, is this constriction of the channel, which used to have a swing bridge. The bridge was necessary to provide access to the long demolished Welford Mill, which was situated on the right, from the access track from Welford, on the left.
