War memorial next to West Front Westminster Abbey
This is a memorial to those who had been educated at Westminster School who died in the Indian Mutiny and Crimean War 1854-9. At the top stands St George and the dragon flanked by statues of Queen Victoria, Elizabeth I, Henry III and Edward the Confessor. It was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and erected in 1861.
