Brotherston's Hole
Brotherston's Hole
My trembling journey up the coast (I am a wimp - astonishingly pretendy-brave in the face of urban-aggro, but in total awe of nature) has had a background-sound of distant cannon-fire ........... here I found the resolution of the sound: at this crescendo-point, the sea crashes in and out of Brotherston's Hole - it's interesting that there are no sea-bird nests here, not one jot of white excrement .. perhaps the intensity of sea-movement - and its accompanying sound - is just too great for raising young.
