TR3852 : Deal Pier from the North Shore

taken 12 years ago, near to Deal, Kent, Great Britain

Deal Pier from the North Shore
Deal Pier from the North Shore
The old pier in Deal was accidentally blown up in WW2 by an ammunition barge. This new concrete one (ca 1952) has the distinction of being the last pier ever built in Britain. It's a delightful walk on a calm day, popular with fishermen and you can have breakfast on the end of the pier in an authentic original 1950's cafe.
