Fire-training aircraft at Heathrow, 1980
This retired Comet airliner, painted in the then-current British Airways colours, was used for many years for training fire crews after their even older Argonaut was destroyed. It too has since been scrapped, replaced by a huge mock-up near Hatton Cross.
