Mere Sands Wood
Mere Sands Wood
A superb nature reserve, and S.S.S.I. The lakes were created in the 1970s with the removal of sand deposits for the glass making industry. The view is from the Rufford Hide looking to the Outer (left) and Inner (right) Twin Lakes which are separated by the Reedbed.
