SJ1848 : Stone Walls below Moel y Faen

taken 10 years ago, near to Pentredwr, Denbighshire/Sir Ddinbych, Great Britain

Stone Walls below Moel y Faen
Stone Walls below Moel y Faen
The peaceful countryside in front of the camera ignores the desolation behind in the form of ancient and modern quarry workings and spoil heaps. The walls are made from the slate quarried just a few metres away, and a footpath, on the line of an old track, crosses the photo from left to right heading for Tai-newyddion.
