Scottish Midland Junction Railway
Scottish Midland Junction Railway
Scene of the famous races in 1895, when the Caledonian and North British sought to have the fastest route to Aberdeen. Many years later, this line lost with only the route via Dundee being retained. This route was dismantled after closure in 1982, passenger services having gone a long time earlier. View down towards Stanley.
