Braefoot Marine Terminal
Braefoot Marine Terminal
Liquid gas from the North Sea is piped to Mossmorran NT1889some 6km north of here. There it is broken down to form ethane and converted into ethylene, a basic hydrocarbon 'building block' of the petrochemical industry. These products are piped to the Braefoot Bay Marine Terminal and loaded into tankers and gas carriers for markets on the European continent and in the USA.
