Crashed 19th April 1949 on Wimberry Stones Brow en route from Belfast to Manchester Airport.
There were 24 fatalities (21 passengers and 3 crew). 8 passengers survived.
The picture is not of the crash site itself, which is uphill at SE0155602245, but as the crash site was subsequently extensively tidied up, the undercarriage frame near the foot of the clough is now the largest remaining piece of wreckage.
