Dunraven Bay, Glamorgan Heritage Coast
A series of limestone beds within the 'Porthkerry Formation' (Jurassic age) give rise to spectacular layered cliffs at Dunraven Bay. The rock platform beneath the cliffs cut by wave action is awash at high tide - it was rather wet a few minutes after this shot was taken in fact! Despite the obvious looseness of some of the cliffs, they are included in the local climbing guide.
