View Over Fields
The photograph shows a public footpath that connects SK4162 : Hallgate Lane (southerly, ahead) with SK4163 : Pilsley Road (northerly, behind the viewpoint) in Lower Pilsley.

The photograph here is looking toward a small depression that, in wet weather, can be very muddy and through which a stream flows to join the River Rother to the east of Danesmoor at SK409634 LinkExternal link .

The viewpoint is on the footpath, which follows the line of the hedge (on the right) to the bottom of the depression. From there it climbs into the next field before leading diagonally to the right and on toward the hedge on the horizon.

To see another photograph taken from approximately the viewpoint but some 75 to the left, click here SK4163 : View Across Field.
To see a more southerly (ahead) photograph of the footpath that is looking back, toward this viewpoint, click here SK4163 : Footpath.
A few metres behind the viewpoint a SK4163 : Stile leads the footpath into the next field.
