NO6195 : Tillenteach

taken 11 years ago, near to Potarch, Aberdeenshire, Great Britain

Gated entrance to a farm complex on the road from Potarch to Feughside. It was when passing here that Duncan Deans (a tailor) encountered 'fairies' on his way home the worse for drink, having tarried at the Potarch Inn till midnight! [or so local bard Duncan Grant has it in a poem published in his 'Lays and Legends of the North'(1908)].
