RNAS Yeovilton control buildings, 1989
RNAS Yeovilton control buildings, 1989
This is the control tower at Yeovilton during the Air Day in 1989. (If I had known about Geograph back then I wouldn't have clipped the top off the building!)
This offers an interesting comparison to the other view of the same building already submitted - since this was taken the building has had a lick of paint and a new comms tower.
The aircraft is a French CAP.230 aerobatic aircraft of the Moroccan Air Force display team, and the blue biplanes in the background are Pitts Specials of the Chilean aerobatics team. There's exotic for you!

Update, February 2009: The building in the background no longer exists as it was demolished recently after a new ATC building was built, the mast structure which supports the out of view radome is still there though.
