Garvald, East Lothian
A beautiful little village on the north side of the Lammermuir hills. It is located in a fold in the hills and is very recognisable due to the rose-coloured stone used in nearly all the village's buildings. The stone is called Freestone and was quarried at nearby Rattlebags quarry. Many villages in East Lothian got their stone from this quarry.
