HY2318 : Bay of Skaill

taken 4 years ago, near to Aith, Orkney Islands, Great Britain

Bay of Skaill
Bay of Skaill
Just caught in the right foreground is the strengthening of the low cliff to protect the neolithic village of Skara Brae from further erosion. The immediate beach is sandy but as the beach swings round in the across the bay, the sand turns to shingle.
