SO2814 : 'Wysg Fawr' or the Usk in flood

'Wysg Fawr' or the Usk in flood
'Wysg Fawr' or the Usk in flood
From atop a stile on the lane leading west out of Abergavenny towards Llanwenarth. Both the path and the road were impassable as the waters of the river rose by 3m to cover the flood-plain. The national park boundary crosses the view some 300m from the fingerpost - large amounts of it were passing under Usk Bridge on their way to the Bristol Channel on this day, as the colour of the water suggests.
