Gallows Hill, Kilham
Gallows Hill, Kilham
Gallows Hill is the site of a prehistoric burial mound, located under the clump of trees. In the medieval period the Gallows, used to hang felons, stood on top of the mound. Burials have been discovered around the mound, presumably the bodies of criminals cut down from the Gallows.
