Free Church of Scotland, Glendale
Free Church of Scotland, Glendale
The most westerly church in Skye, constructed in the later 19th century after the Disruption of the Church of Scotland in 1843. Here in 1882 the crofters met to assert their rights to grazing which had been withheld by the landlords, one of a series of land struggles which eventually led to the crofting reforms of 1886 LinkExternal link .
