Bwlch y Groes on Llantysilio Mountain
This peaceful mountain pasture used to be one of the major crossing points of Llantysilio Mountain. Six tracks come together at the low point in the fence line at about the centre of the photo, crossing from the pasture land onto the heather moor. All the tracks and the current tarmac road are recorded on the 1891 O.S. map. The old map also records several 'Bench Marks', and one of these can still be seen on the low rock, second from the left of the photo, just inside the modern fence.
