SD7822 : Grane Road

Grane Road
Grane Road
This sign was put up last year now lorries have to do a 10 mile detour to get to Blackburn.
The experimental restriction on vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes was introduced in February 2006, following a safety campaign by residents to stop HGVs using the road.
Personally the HGVs used to slow the cars down on Grane Road but now cars just go at top speed and made the traffic flow very fast.
I can't see how the ban has made this road any safer.
