Clubs, Union Street
Clubs, Union Street
These facades have a sense almost of the false fronts of the classic small town in Western films. Of somewhat bizarre design and painted in taste in violent contrast to the derelict but nonetheless fine Palace Theatre nearby, these buildings lie dormant in the daylight, but the doors to their subterranean interiors open after dark. Union Street is a notorious area of Plymouth: one is advised to avoid it at night.
