taken 11 years ago, near to Crossgatehall, East Lothian, Scotland

Former Smeaton Bing from the air
Former Smeaton Bing from the air
Currently being converted (recycled?) into a recycling centre. The bing has been reformed and hollowed out to create a bund wall, reminiscent of those found in sites where explosives are handled or manufactured, or where liquids or noise need to be contained.
