Passage across the bog south of Ferny Crofts, New Forest
This footbridge provides passage across the boggy heathland between Culverley Farm and Ferny Crofts - the only sensible way to make the crossing. The bog is wet all year round (even in this very dry summer) as in the valley bottom the sandy soil meets the underlying impermeable clay.
