Bridges at Redbridge
Bridges at Redbridge
Looking across the Lower Test marshes towards the bridges at Redbridge from the birdwatching hide near Salterns School. The two smaller bridges are the oldest, and no longer provide a route over the river due to the railway line on the far side. The east- and west-bound carriageways of the Redbridge Causeway (A35) cross the river on different bridges, with the westbound carriageway on the newest bridge (not really visible in this photo). Redbridge is so-called because of the reeds and the bridges. The tower block on the left, behind The Anchor pub is Redbridge Tower.
