Grouse butt
Grouse butt
Grouse butt, one of a line on the slopes between Horse Stone Naze and the Derwent. Lines of grouse butts are useful when navigating cross-country on open moorland where paths are often not marked; as well as confirming one's position they are often linked by (albeit rudimentary) paths.
