SU4759 : Disused railway

taken 11 years ago, near to Old Burghclere, Hampshire, Great Britain

Disused railway
Disused railway
Now used as a popular path. This was part of the Didcot, Newbury, Southampton line. An ideal candidate for reinstatement to take freight from Southampton Docks to the Midlands. Unfortunately it has been built on in a number of places, including a significant section of route near here for the Newbury bypass (A34).
