Doorway, Royal Society of Medicine
Doorway, Royal Society of Medicine
This is the doorway at 1 Wimpole Street. On each side of the doorway is a staff with serpents. There are two similar emblems used by medical organisations, Staff of Aesclepius with one snake, and as here the Staff of Caduceus (and Hermes, Mercury) with two snakes. See also TQ2881 : Royal Society of Medicine for another view of the building.
