Marching down Newgate Street en route to Newcastle Crown Court
Marching down Newgate Street en route to Newcastle Crown Court
Building workers marching down Newgate Street en route to Newcastle Crown Court in September 1975 when local scaffolders were tried on charges arising from a building workers' strike. The charges were dismissed.

The ugly building on the left was Newgate House, built in the early 60s. The building in the right background was (is?) the premises of the North Eastern Co-operative Society.
