SU4655 : Disused railway

Disused railway
Disused railway
The byway goes under the disused Didcot-Newbury-Southampton railway line, now no longer restorable because the A34 has taken some of the route. Immediately beyond the bridge is the A34, a fast dual carriageway which the path crosses on the level. Fortunately there is a permissive path option to an underpass, involving a 500 metre detour each way.
