TL5982 : Drainage Engine Museum Although this pumping station was originally steam powered, it is now home to a 1920s Mirrlees airblast diesel engine driving a centrifugal pump. This is an awesome beast and well worth a look. There are also other re-erected diesel engines in the building, including a Petter of the type that had a reputation for spectacular breakdowns. There are no steam engines here (unless you know different).
