The upper of the two roads at this junction has been laid over an old tramway which contours around Mynydd Pen-cyrn and dates from the time when the local limestone cliffs were being extensively quarried. View over Vale of Usk /Dyffryn Wysg towards Sugarloaf / Y Fal. (Incidentally 'Disgwylfa' means 'look-out' in Welsh)
