Daisy Bank Farm, south of Calton Green
"Although the present acreage of Daisy Bank Farm is about eighty acres, in previous times it was only twelve acres. The twelve acres lay in an area long known as Calton Intake or Intack - a relic of past centuries when parts of the common land were carved out of the waste and "tacken in" and fenced off for the sole use of the occupier."
Extract from the book 'Calton is my Dwelling Place' by David Swinscoe which contains a wealth of information about the history and previous occupants of the farm.
