NT3664 : Green lane, D'Arcy

taken 13 years ago, near to Mayfield, Midlothian, Great Britain

Green lane, D'Arcy
Green lane, D'Arcy
Served amongst other things an oilfield. The square is quite rural now, but old maps show oilwells, quarries and collieries. Did D'Arcy get its name from the man who started up the Anglo Persian Oil Company?
