The Weld Chapel, Waterfall Road, Southgate
The Weld Chapel, (originally Arnold's Chapel), had been the private chapel of the Weld family. It was donated to the people of Southgate and consecrated on the 24th May 1615 as a Chapel of Ease. It was deconsecrated, and dismantled, in 1862 after Christ Church, which had been built within the original precinct, had been consecrated. The foundation area is still used as a repository for the ashes for members of the Christ Church congregation.
