Former Moot Hall, Newark-on-Trent
Now a Starbucks Coffee shop, the former Moot Hall, in a central position along one side of the Market Square, was built in 1708 and served as the seat of local government for the town until the Town Hall was built 65 years later.

A plaque (SK7953 : Moot Hall Plaque) on the wall tells us that the building was demolished and then rebuilt to precisely reproduce the south and east façades in 1966-7.
