The aircraft on the ground is the Sultan of Oman's private VC10, preserved at Brooklands Museum. The main museum is just behind the outer engine, and modern office buildings can be seen on the airfield perimeter beyond.

This was taken from a Vickers Viscount during a flight in 1996 to commemorate the type's retirement from commercial service. Many Viscounts were built at Brooklands.
