SK6013 : The moat, Cossington

taken 4 years ago, near to Cossington, Leicestershire, Great Britain

The moat, Cossington
The moat, Cossington
Shown on OS maps in Old English script, although it does not appear to be a scheduled or listed site. The English Heritage record from a 1972 survey comments that the moat shows only as a very shallow depression, and it appears to have been dug out as an ornamental feature in recent times. It forms part of the grounds of the Old Rectory, but can be seen from the adjacent public footpath.
