View from Sullington Hill
Looking southwards from the South Downs Way with Blackpatch Hill to the left and Harrow Hill to the right, both sites of Neolithic flint mines, of which only twelve have been confirmed in England and Wales (Two others lie immediately to the east of the former, those being Church Hill and Cissbury Ring). Highdown Hill is beyond the two to the immediate right of Blackpatch is also archeologically rich having been settled during the Bronze Age, fortified in the Iron Age, and is also the site of a Roman bath and a 5th century Saxon cemetery. The sea can be seen on the horizon.
