Grass of Parnassus (Parnassia palustris)

We were surprised at the profusion of Grass of Parnassus in several places around Ardnamurchan, still in full bloom in mid-September, because it is a plant we usually associate with early to mid summer. It was nevertheless a welcome sight, being one of our most attractive wild flowers.
