The bridge coming down to rest after the 1300 hrs opening. The bridge was refurbished several years ago, but still the rust is evident on the underside. The White Cart Water is still tidal at this point.

A series of shots of the Inchinnan Bascule Bridge carrying the A8 over the White Cart Water.

The bridge was lifted on three occasions on this 'Doors Open Day' - at 1100, 1300 and 1500 hrs. Images in this set from a riverbank vantage point come from the first lift and the remainder from the 1300 hrs lift.
