Maybole Shore at Low Tide
Maybole Shore at Low Tide
This part of Culzean Bay is known as Maybole Shore. Only a tiny part lies in the square, accessible with wellie boots at low tide. Barwhin Point is shown on the left-hand side, with big shower clouds approaching a distant Ailsa Craig. A local weather saying claims that "if you can see Ailsa Craig, it's going to rain and, if you can't see Ailsa Craig, it's raining already". There's a degree of truth in it!
