Reaching for the rope
Reaching for the rope
An interior shot of St Martin's church, with a frieze appearing to intend to ring the bell. There is in fact only one bell - it weighs about 11 cwt (550 kg) and was cast in 1675 by Thomas Pennington III of Exeter. See SX9292 : Just to emphasise the point for more.
