'Camp Site (disused)' is what the OS 1:25K sheet calls it. It shows the site as extending some distance north from Sheepwalk Lane - but woodland has recolonised, so that very little is visible from the right of way. There are certainly some biggish Nissen-hut type structures, along with smaller brick buildings. Perhaps the intention was to billet troops here in the event that Hitler attempted to invade - there are pill-boxes all along the scarp of the North Downs, just a short distance south.
