NY9408 : Sleightholme Moor

taken 10 years ago, near to Coney Seat Hill [hill or Mountain], North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Sleightholme Moor
Sleightholme Moor
A particularly desolate area of moorland between Tan Hill and the Greta valley. This old road was once a through road from Tan Hill to Bowes, but has been abandoned above Sleightholme Farm. It is, however, still fit for cyclists and forms part of the W2W (Walney to Wear or Whitby) cycle route LinkExternal link.
