Above Sleightholme
Above Sleightholme
This old road sign (which must date back to the 1950s or earlier before road signs were "Europeanised") is evidence that this length of road (now abandoned) between Sleightholme and Tan Hill was once a motor road. It is, however, still fit for cyclists and forms part of the W2W (Walney to Wear or Whitby) cycle route LinkExternal link.
